About Qulpan
Qulpan provides free LGBT-friendly Hebrew classes led by volunteer instructors. We launched in Tel Aviv in 2014 and have since expanded to Jerusalem and Haifa.
As well as covering practical conversation, we also discuss LGBT-related topics and issues that would not be covered in a regular ulpan (or Hebrew class).
Our goals
We aim to help LGBT new olim and LGBT people living in Israel improve their Hebrew language skills in an LGBT-friendly environment.
We run two levels of classes: Intro (basic level) and Convo (conversational).
Our classes
Outside of pandemic times, Qulpan holds weekly classes in three locations across Israel. However, classes are currently being held online via Zoom.
